What Is Publicly Confirmed

PlayStation's 2024 hands-on report says the demonstrated build let players parry attacks and use the result for powerful counters. It also says holding L1 could block, giving beginners a lower-commitment way to study combat. The preview does not establish final parry frames, input buffering, weapon differences, or whether every enemy attack is parryable.

Reliable Practice Method

Start by blocking one complete attack string. Listen for rhythm and watch the attacker's shoulder or weapon rather than only the impact flash. On the next attempt, parry a single chosen strike. Once repeatable, record the resulting position and punish before testing another enemy or changing equipment.
