The official Steam description says powerful foes can yield their weapons “and with it, their signature techniques.” This indicates a connection between the acquired weapon and its defining move, although exact unlock steps and eligibility remain unknown.
Three distinct systems
Skills are a general progression category. Phantom Edges are a separate 20-plus arsenal designed to mix and match. Signature techniques are associated with powerful-foe weapons. Keeping the terms distinct prevents misleading counts.
What launch pages must show
A useful technique page needs the source enemy, weapon requirement, exact input, resource cost, effect, upgrade behavior, compatible loadouts, and a tested use case. Visual resemblance to a boss move is not enough.
Source and update status
This page is grounded in the official source. It distinguishes published facts from details awaiting the dedicated State of Play or retail build. Rumors, unofficial names, and trailer-only assumptions are excluded.
